Why You Should Start Something New This Spring

Hiyaa babes! Raise your hand if you’re excited for spring?! Wherever you are in the world, whether or not you’re sitting inside praying for the snow to stop like me, we can all rest assured that spring is on the horizon! I think what I love the most about springtime is the idea of new beginnings. Flowers are blooming, everything is fresh and what better time to start something new in your life than now?

Time has a funny way of controlling every single thing we do. “Next week” or “next month” seem to be when we like to tell ourselves we’ll get around to it.The funny thing about this is that it never really ends up as “next week” because we have this idea that things need to begin on the 1st of the month, or on a Monday. Who else has sworn that they’d start eating healthier … but it’s Wednesday and I mean it totally doesn’t make any sense to start in the middle of a week so i’ll just wait until Monday …. Well babes, i’m here to remind you that this is false! There’s no time like the present so seize the day. 

Our mental health and our own wellbeing is so important – I fully believe that before you can take care of someone else, you must be able to first take care of and know how to love yourself. What better way of showing some self love than starting something brand new and fresh just for you. Maybe it’s something you’ve wanted to do for a really long time, or maybe it’s something spontaneous and crazy and wild but hey – c’est la vie right?! Whether it be an art project, a fitness journey, or maybe even your own blog or biz. I believe this spring is your time to shine. Here’s some amazing new things to try this season!

I think it’s so important to keep our minds sharp by challenging ourselves as often as we can and there really is no time like today. Challenge yourself to start something new this spring – something entirely for yourself to make you feel like the best possible version of yourself! My mantra for march as we enter into spring, say it with me now: Seize the freaking day!!
